Magic the Play, written and produced by some of my friends, ran off-off Broadway from February 20th to the 25th. I've had the honor of following the production through various iterations and have also done the majority of the photography needed for the production, from the fundraising gala last summer, to press and production photos, to the post-show gala. Instead of creating too many posts, I've decided to consolidate these shoots into one mega post here (which is also partially an excuse for why I haven't been updating my blog...)
This production was completely sold out at Theatre Row!! I had the pleasure of seeing a matinee performance the Saturday before closing, and I can honestly say it was such a pleasure to watch--not only because I'm friends with people involved in the production, but because the storyline itself was very fun and captivating.
The sold-out production was certainly cause for celebration, and we had a great post-show gala at The Artist Co-op after the show's final performance, complete with jazz, snacks, and an open bar.
There was lots of mingling, laughing, and was such a joyous celebration of the accomplishments of everyone involved in the production.
